Reading wedding venue Wasing Park is an eco-friendly wedding venue set in the heart of the Wasing Estate. Whether you’re looking for a civil or church ceremony, this exquisite, award-winning venue on the Berkshire and Hampshire border offers both; it even has a hand-painted ‘Victorian Summerhouse‘ for those seeking an idyllic outdoor setting. Arriving via a sweeping drive, surrounded by 18th century parkland, Wasing Park is an iconic and picturesque venue, dripping with class.

There are several locations within Wasing Park for civil ceremonies. The Garden Room is an inspiring space which offers an abundance of light with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking natural gardens. With construction focused on sustainability and energy efficiency, this is a truly eco-friendly wedding venue. Meanwhile outside, the traditional Victorian Summerhouse sits within the formal gardens and has an interior embellished with a mural of flowers, cherry trees, birds and butterflies. On site, Wasing also plays host to The Parish Church of St Nicholas, which sits in pretty, peaceful location surrounded by mature trees. The quaint church is predominantly 15th Century with many original features.

Once you’ve picked your ceremony location, it’s then onto the celebrations. The Garden Room is the perfect setting for reception drinks, with bi-folding doors bringing the outside in; wander, mingle and relax as guests enjoy the garden and large terrace.

Nearby, The Castle Barn, with its grand arches and crenelated stone walls, provides an immediate ‘wow’ factor for the wedding breakfast and evening celebration. It offers a completely blank canvas, with unique and unusual features. These include Italian mood-lighting, oak beams and floor, and a striking brick interior with candlelit arrow slits.

When it’s time for the party, the raised stage is just the place for the band or DJ.
