The Upper Roundel is a lovely circular room, set on the first floor seating up to 80 guests for a wedding breakfast. This room affords yet more views across the garden and with doors opening onto the adjoining private terrace, the perfect place to hold a drinks reception.

For the evening reception we can cater to around 120 guests using the whole venue, dancing takes place in the Lower Roundel leaving the Upper Roundel and terrace for those who wish to relax, chat and enjoy the views.

‘The venue’s cradle-to-cradle, or regenerative design is an approach to the creation of products and systems that mimic nature. It models human industry on nature’s processes, viewing materials as nutrients circulating in healthy, safe metabolisms. This approach was first articulated by Michael Braungart and William McDonough in their book Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, and it has since been applied by their advisory team and others working with many businesses and organisations around the world.’

Say What?

|| Pines Calyx is a wonderful venue with equally wonderful people. Many thanks to all at Pines Calyx who made it happen. The whole organisation from our first contact to the final clearing up went really well and all the people we dealt with were very easy going and did a great job. Thank you Jane for all the help and advice, Yolanda (very creative flowers & buttonholes) and Simon, plus not forgetting all those working behind the scenes to make such a great day. Thanks Uscha and David ||

|| Dear Jane, Simon and all at the Pines Calyx both on show and behind the scenes…thank you for all you did to make our day perfect. From all of your help on the run up to the actual day, to your colleagues assistance when we set off the fire alarms the night before and vitally to Simon and the team on the day itself who were just fantastic. Simon was truly one in a million and made us feel completely confident that everything would be taken care of, he even took my very detailed running order in good humour! Several of our guests commented both on the day and afterwards about how great he was. The food and drinks throughout were delicious (thank you Jane for sourcing my edible flowers!) and we only wish we had eaten more of the delicious evening buffet ourselves!!! We would so love to be able to do it all over again. Once again a huge thank you and please pass on our appreciation to everyone else that made our vision come to life. With best wishes, Elissa & Mike ||
