This stunner of a venue offers much more than first impressions might indicate. A truly unusual Gloucestershire wedding venue!
If it’s unusual Gloucestershire wedding venue you’re after then you’ve come to the right place. From a distance, you might think that Elmore Court is just another crumbling stately home turned event venue. However, when you take a closer look at the new and moving parts inside this recent enterprise, you’ll realise it has much more to offer than first impressions might indicate.
So what makes this place a TQWV?
The Owner, Anselm ‘quirky’ Guise. Nobody calls him that. They don’t have to. His globetrotting exploits are the stuff of legend in certain circles. This is a man so charismatic and passionate about the things he gets his teeth into, that he was able to instil that belief into our first clients who came to view a gutted shell and an artists impression of a ‘Gillyflower’, which at the time of viewing, happened to look like a muddy field.
The House. It was gutted and put back together predominantly by Sarah, Anselm’s wife with such delicate care as to completely modernise all the creature comforts while maintaining the traditional elements of the house. The house is now a miracle compared to the archaic but charming beast that it once was. Their ‘eco’ sensibilities also led them to make sustainable choices regarding a Biomass heating system and Anselm’s love of tech has filled the house with behind the scenes gadgetry.
The Gillyflower. A sustainably built soundproofed rammed earth “club”. Complete with state of the art lighting and Funktion One sound system. Utterly considered for the discerning partier. Beautifully crafted to be the ‘Future-Rustic’ jewel in the Elmore crown.
The Coach House This awesome new development has been created primarily so that a small party of guests can come and stay on site the night before an event (e.g. Bridal Party or setup crew) and therefore wake up on site. It is a separate building on the west side of the house (behind the office) with it’s own driveway so it doesn’t impinge on the exclusivity of any ongoing event. It has two double bedrooms and a sitting room with a double sofa-bed combined with a simple kitchen setup. This will enable up to 6 people to come and stay the night before, wake up, have breakfast and start getting ready before moving over to the main house at Midday to continue on into your exclusive day hire of Elmore Court.
The Team. They work hard, they play hard, they love each other and they love what they do. That may not be quirky, but they’re far from the norm.
