The Wonderous Wedding Fair is being held at The Pyramids, Portsmouth (6th November). Brides and grooms-to-be are encouraged to bring friends and family and immerse themselves in the wonderful world of weddings! Entry is £3 per person which includes a free copy of Doily Days special issue and a copy of Your Hampshire Wedding magazine.
Around 40 exhibitors, who all offer something quirky and unique, will be showcasing their products and services at The Wonderous Wedding Fair. Miss Amy Baker, Dawn Gracie and Pandemonium Steel Band will be performing, there are two fashion shows, two workshops to take part in (flower crowns and a pinup showgirl party). There’s a vintage tearoom serving light lunches, tea and cake; perfect for taking a break and pondering your big day surrounded by so many inspiring suppliers.
The Pyramids is situated on the seafront in Southsea and although the event is being held in winter, you can imagine the glorious views across the Solent from The Glass House which will be dressed to showcase the venue’s offering for wedding receptions.
The girls behind The Wonderous Wedding Fair, Helen Ruff editor of Doily Days magazine and Alex Cjijovic who runs The Vintage Parade, are experts in the wedding industry; Helen’s published seven wedding magazines since 2013 and is launching issue 8 at this event. She’s run Doily Days since 2009 and has been involved in styling, hire items, on-day management and industry events. Alex has previously organised The Nostalgic Wedding Fair in various locations throughout Hampshire and she organises vintage trading areas for the likes of Carfest and The Royal Air Tattoo.
Exhibitors were invited to take part in a styled shoot in September, all shot on location in Southsea to give visitors a taste of what to expect on the day.
